What can we conclude? An analysis of answers.

This essay analyzes the main answers of the interviews. Firstly, we will discuss the main reasons why they got their first mobile phone. Then, we will describe the different ways of adaptation to this device. Finally, we will compare the answers about the advantages and disadvantages that our narrators think about the App Whatsapp. 

Firstly, the reasons why someone got a mobile phone has changed over time. According to Miguel Angel's answer, an accident on the road made him to think about the importance of having a mobile phone: he wanted to be able to call the emergency service as soon as possible. Necessity made him to buy his first mobile phone. However, in the case of Miguel, my brother, it was a present for his 1st Communion. The reason: it was a device for leisure. It is obvious that people don't get it for the same reason and this thought changes over time.

Secondly, interesting information about the different ways of adaptation to this device was given through the question "When did you download Whatsapp?". In the case of Miguel Angel, my father, he downloaded this year. On the other hand, my brother, Miguel, did it 4 years ago. Even if he got it later and he is younger, he is up-to-date earlier than my father. Moreover, it is not only the fact of downloading; a part of adaptation is to know how to profit all the utilities. At different moments, he talked about Whatsapp groups, efficiency of services, recent improvements, an everywhere communication... That didn't happen in the case of Miguel Angel. He didn't refer to some utilities, what make us conclude that he is not totally adapted yet.

In a third part of the essay, it could be interesting to describe the advantages and disadvantages that they think this new application has. We have to highlight the fact that both of them agree that through Whatsapp they don't have really conversations. Miguel described it as "could conversations". But the amount of points that they considered about the advantages are really different. For my father there are no so many advantages; he prefers the ones that he knew in the past. For my brother, some advantages make it an advance in the way that people communicate and for him, he can't imagine a day in which you can talk with at least one of your friends. We can't extrapolate this information, but it seems like a general opinion is share between people in the same generation about the advantages and disadvantages of the use of Whatsapp. 

To sum up, we can see that there is a huge difference between two generations in relation with mobile phones. The way that they manage with it, since they acdquired their first mobile phone till now, is not the same. It could be because of the reasons that make them to use it or maybe utilities that they find on it, but the fact is that is seems to be a tendency over population: younge people are more prepared to face new technologies, at least mobile phones.
